Powergen to reduce energy bills

In this article, Powergen are due to reduce their energy bills from 30th April. This is the complete opposite to what British Gas are doing as they will be soon raising their bill prices, much to the displeasure of customers.

In my opinion this is a very good idea as in response to the reduced gas prices from suppliers. they will benefit from the potential increase from customers greatly as more people will be leaving British Gas because of their increase in prices lately, leading to more profit for powergen.

However they will have to compete with Npower who are also cutting prices to takle advantge of the low costing gas the moment. this might bode ill for Powerfgen as British Gas are also getting involed in this competition.
